The PAT-Ux is the hazardous location version of the popular VIAVI PAT-U miniature process spectrometer. Safe in the presence of flammable gases, vapors, fibers, or dust, the PAT-Ux enables moving a process directly to production in a hazardous location using chemometric models and processes developed in the ordinary location of a laboratory. MicroNIR L

The MicroNIR PAT-L immersion spectrometer is based on the MicroNIR PAT-U process spectrometer, with design adaptations that include: y Full integration into a fixed gap immersion probe y High-efficiency light pipe design y Inert gas backfill eliminates water vapor interference and condensation y Hardwired USB cable for reliability y Optional removable cooling jacket The PAT-L is a fully integrated spectrometer-probe. The spectrometer section is rated IP65/IP67 and the immersion probe section is rated at up to 250 bar. Optical specifications are identical to the MicroNIR PAT-U and may be found on the PAT-U Data Sheet. The cooling jacket, with hose barb connections, allows coolant to circulate and maintain the spectrometer within its operating temperature range while the probe is in contact with hot fluids or in high ambient temperatures. Maximum working temperatures depend on the probe length and material and the coolant used. The MicroNIR internal temperature operating range is 0 to 50ºC. The PAT-L immersion probe section is based on the Hellma Excalibur HD FPT 26, a well-proven, heavy-duty industrial probe.

Software

The MicroNIR OnSite-W system includes the MicroNIR Pro software suite with features for data acquisition, calibration and method development, user management, and real-time prediction. Using MicroNIR Pro software, a developer can process data and build complete chemometric models using regression and classification algorithms including PLS, MBSD, SMV, and PCA analyses. Batch mode predictions on stored data are also supported.

MicroNIR Pro software also includes instrument performance qualification per EP 2.2.40 and USP 1119 test criteria and tools enabling Title 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. An enhanced OPC interface is optionally available for integration with process control systems. The OnSite-W system also includes a standalone tablet application with simplified user interface for data acquisition and real-time prediction in the field.

MicroNIR 1700ES

The VIAVI MicroNIR 1700EC is a lightweight and cost-effective near infrared (NIR) spectrometer that includes the VIAVI high-precision optical coating technology with innovation in optical system design and miniaturization.

By combining VIAVI linear variable filter (LVF) technology as the dispersing element, the spectrometer has a light source, collection optics, electronics, and LVF in a housing that measures less than 50 mm in diameter, less than 45 mm in height, and weighs only 64 g. The spectrometer is USB powered and can be used in diffuse reflection, transmission, or transflection modes.

A MicroNIR Pro package includes a number of accessories that either enhance ease-of-use or enable measuring with varied configurations that perfectly suit specific applications.
